The Sustainable Buildings Challenge
The Sustainable Buildings Challenge is a two-day intensive technical and policy challenge open to students from any Canadian post-secondary institution. In its inaugural year in 2020, we were joined by participants from across Ontario, from their first year of undergrad to those working on their PhD. The inaugural SBC was written up by the World Architecture Community (https://worldarchitecture.org/architecture-news/evhcz/the-winners-of-the-2021-sustainable-buildings-challenge.html)!
Undergraduate Networking Event
A design evening where U of T and Ryerson undergrad students worked side-by-side with industry professionals on a design problem.
Research Networking Events
Our research networking event, by popular demand, was ran twice in 2020/21. Both evenings were a fantastic opportunity for attendees to hear about the research of current U of T and Ryerson graduate students, and to interact with other sustainable-buildings-related faculty and students.
An Introduction to Sustainable Buildings
This, SBN's inaugural event, introduced students to the many sustainable buildings-related opportunities available at the University of Toronto. This included professors speaking about their research and available courses, as well as student clubs and design teams.
